summertime...in paradise

As I sit here at my computer looking out at the fading light here on padre island....i look forward to my first summer as an islander.  And I can only wonder what strange things are bound to happen this summer.  However, on another note, if things go my way...i will be transplanting myself a little further to the south at some point this year.  My hope is that things will work themselves out in such a way that i can go to school...(information currently witheld as to where & what) and soon reside on the southern end of this narrow island, as opposed to the northernmost end.  Now, not that there is anything wrong with Corpus......I've just wanted to go to South Padre since I was at least a Jr. in high school.  And I find I miss the small town feel of where I went to high school at.  Not that I would wanna go back...but I want to live in a small-er town.  And I know, there's always Port Aransas and still be in this area....and I've thought about it.  But something about South Padre just feels right, even though I have yet to step foot in that town.  It just feels right.  Can't even remotely tell you why but it does.  And some other things need to happen BEFORE that can even happen.  (Here's a hint...money, and work...in SPI)  But I have found a school that will give me a career that I have already dabbled in and like.  And it may be permanent or temporary until something else comes along.  But it's a start to getting out on my own.  Independence and town-of-my-dreams, 2 for the price of 1!  One thing is for sure, things will work out.  Just depends on when.......
